Took a trip here for 8 days and had consistent wind everyday without fail. Breakfast daily at 8am then short boat trip at 10am to the reef. 3-4 hours downwinder back to the lodge quicker if you prefer. Lunch daily then out again for afternoon session if you have the energy. Hammocks everywhere and fresh coconuts so total relaxation. Staff were friendly and awesome boat man and experienced kite surfer and host. For me it was all about the kite surfing and that was outstanding. The accommodation on the beach is nicer if you are a couple. Don’t expect a resort and understand you are not in a luxury hotel, mores so an eco friendly lodge, so just enjoy the wind, sun, beach and relax. Don’t go if you want swim up bars and pool parties this is a place for kite surfers wing foilers and wind surfers

Wind was blowing for most of the month I was there, with only a couple of down days - which was also fine - because that was when we went snorkelling and did some kayaking / SUPing (and chilling in the hammock). I was a complete beginner kiter when I arrived, but by the end of my stay felt confident in a range of different conditions and felt confident that I would always be able to recover my board. While I was a beginner there were some intermediate and advanced kiters there at the same time, and I was interested that they too learned safety and line unraveling tips from Warren that he had already quickly taught me.

The option for downwinders in flat water with safety cover and company allowed me to experiment without fear of losing ground to leeward - since that's where were headed - so I just threw in turn after turn and built confidence.

Everyone takes meals at the lodge and it’s a nice time to meet and chat with other guests and makes it feel like more of a community. Some nights we watched movies together. A few times we actually picked tomatoes and basil and other things from the vegetable garden that we ate for dinner! The food tastes homemade - something your mum or grandma might make and is a mix of western, Fijian, Indian, Chinese and even Mexican. It was healthy and mostly vegetarian- they seem to walk the eco-lodge talk as the electricity is all solar and the water is rainwater and they try and grow a lot of their Veges.

I stayed at Safari for a month late July- August. I stayed in both the beach front bure at the front for 3 weeks and the Mango Tree Villa at the top of the hill with the Spectacular view for one week. These are comfortable and cozy. The bure's on the front are right on the water and have a lovely veranda so you go to sleep at night listening to the sea.....The villa's up the top of the hill have a magnificent lanai and panoramic view. The Bure I stayed had recently renovated floors and everything was clean and lovely.
